Basic Rules

1. First and foremost, absolutely no OOC (Out Of Character) harassing or bullying. This site is meant to be a fun place where people can come to look forward to a good time, not to have somebody call them names or give them a hard time. This doesn't necessarily apply to IC (In Character) statements. It is perfectly acceptable as long as YOUR CHARACTER is calling the other person's CHARACTER some name or anything else. This applies to the Chat Box as well on the regular forums, no harassing.

If you break this rule:
Depending on the severity of the infraction, it will most likely get you warned by the Moderators or the Admins. If a second infraction on this rule occurs, within a short amount of time of the first, you will be banned.

2. No GMing (God Modding). GMing is where you make it so your character basically cant be killed or hit. A definition of GMing on the internet: "Any form of cheating by automatic hits and controlling another player's character"
For example:
*[Insert name #1 here] enters the room where [Insert name #2] is standing. [#1] jumps at [#2] who is taken completely by surprise and [#1] plunge a knife deep into [#2] heart, he is now dead. [#1] quickly runs out of the room, his guards will never find me*
In this situation player 1 is attacking and killing player 2 without A. Letting player 2 respond and B. Doing all that in one move.
Do not GM on any of the IC boards. GMing is encouraged on the OOC boards

If you break this rule:
You will be warned. If you get three warnings, within a short amount of time of each one, you will be banned.

3. Minors will be on this; try to keep foul language to a minimum, we have a word filter in place do not try to bypass it.

If you break this rule:
If you bypass the word filter, the admins and moderators will edit your post beyond recognition. You have been warned.

4. You are allowed to have an Alt (alternate character). What you are not allowed to do is A. Have an Alt help your main character so he can better himself and B. Use that Alt to make it look like you have three people to make a usergroup. You can apply with your Alt, it just wont be counted.

If you break this rule:
We will just tell you that any RP with an Alt is now voided. We will tell you that you need three DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE IP addresses to make a usergroup.

5. We encourage you to work out any problems you have, in a respective way, with other players by yourself; it saves us time we could spend doing other important things. If you cant resolve your conflict with another player, bring it to us and we will settle it.

This is just a very good rule of thumb to follow, not a rule you can break.

6. We have two RP settings you can choose from; Free RP and Planned RP. You can have a character in both. The Free RP takes place during a certain time on our timeline, however, it stays in that time and just about anything can happen. With the Free RP you wont be forced to do or not do certain things. In the Planned RP we follow a timeline. Certain players will have to do certain things. In the Planned RP if you want to do anything major, please consult the Admins on whether or not you can do it.

Once again this is mainly a good rule of thumb to follow.

7. And lastly challenge yourself to be a better writer. Always work on being a better writer than you currently are. You wont get better writing out the very basic stuff. If you do that, challenge yourself to write at least a paragraph (5-7 sentences) per post. This will force you to to dig to find good writing material.
